The Buffer Polygons operation can be directly executed by typing the following expression on the command line of the Main window:
|
OUTMAP |
= |
PolygonMapBuffer(InputPolygonMap, distance, endstyle) |
where:
|
OUTMAP |
is the name of your output polygon map. |
|
PolygonMapBuffer |
is the command to start the Buffer Polygons operation. |
|
InputPolygonMap |
is the name of the input polygon map. |
|
Distance |
The distance between the boundary of the bufferd polygon and the old boundary. Negative numbers indicate a buffer to the inside of the Polygon. |
|
End style |
The shape of the ending of vertices forming the buffered polygon. Possible styles are 'Round', 'Butt' and 'Square' |
When the definition symbol = is used, a dependent output map is created; when the assignment symbol := is used, the dependency link is immediately broken after the output map has been calculated.
