SmartPath GPS Support Update (275Kb)

Note: this version is older than the update for GPS support in the SmartPath Trip update above.

This SmartPath GPS software update includes a new serial driver - if you want to use third party software with the GPS 3000 then you need to install this update. This changes the communications port for the GPS 3000 from GPS1 to the first available standard com port e.g. com1, and enables smartpath GPS to communicate over that com port, instead of being hard coded to only use GPS1. Please read the following important installation instructions:

1. Stop smartpath city and smartpath trip applications (in start, settings, system, memory, running programs)
2. Perform a soft reset
3. Run the setup program contained in the zip file - this will install the application
4. Select Yes when asked "SMARTPATH GPS" is already installed Do you want to proceed with the Installation / Upgrade.
5. Select Yes to install to the default application install directory
6. Select OK when asked SMARPATH GPS is already installed. Re-install?
